After six years popular presenter couple Mahi B Chowdhury and Ashfah Haque Lopa are returning to the small screen during the Eid festival. They are returning with two gorgeous programmes in the upcoming Eid festival. These two programmes are -‘Padma Parer Hashi,’ which will be aired on ATN Bangla and ‘Dream,’ which will be for Ekushey Television. Besides, presentation, these two programmes will be hosted by Mahi under his own production house Entertainment Republic (ER).
This was disclosed at an Iftar cum meet the press at the media house ER at Baridhara in the city recently.
Besides Mahi and Lopa, noted fashion designer Shahrukh Shaheed, country’s one of the leading ramp models cum choreographer Azra Mahmud, Leaders of the garments workers’ association ‘Awaz,’ among others, were present on the occasion.
Mahi in his speech said, “After November 2003 I along with Lopa and our related personnel were detached from the media due to political consideration. Although facing this situation, we did not seat idly. We have made programmes and those were on air in various television channels. But our names were not mentioned in those programmes. We hope we will give something different to the viewers through these two programmes.” “In the programme ‘Padma Parer Hashi,’ shooting was held at a remote village named ‘Kanak-Sar’ in Lauhajong upazila in Munshiganj. A grooming session was held among the selected 16 males and females from August 11 to 13.
Then shooting was held on the bank of River Padma. Shomi Kaiser and Tushar Khan were present as judges in the contest. The whole programme is a talent hunt contest. We want to turn it into reality show in future. The programme is now on the editing table,” said Mahi.
Meanwhile, another activity named ‘Dream’ has been started on September 1. Topic of the activity is fashion show of garment workers and their thoughts. Selected 20 garment workers are taking part in the contest. They are now under grooming session by Azra. After then main programme, one-hour duration will be shoot where top celebrities will be present as judges in the contest, said the organisers.
