10 injured in BNP factional clash in Munshiganj

At least 10 people were injured in a factional clash of local BNP activists at Dakkhin Islampur in the district town on Friday night.

Local people said two groups of activists – one led by M Hamid, vice-president of BNP ward no.8 unit and another by general secretary Tayeb Ali – locked into an altercation over a trifling matter in the evening.

Later, the feuding groups equipped with lethal weapons and sticks attacked each other, leaving 10 people injured from both sides.

Two of injured were admitted to Munshiganj General Hospital while others were given first aid.
