4 arrested with stolen motorbike

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police in separate drives recovered a stolen motorbike and held four bike lifters from Munshiganj and Narayanganj districts on Wednesday night.

Acting on a tip-off a team of RAB seized a stolen motorbike and arrested three bike lifters from Srinagar upazila headquarters of Munshiganj district while they were passing the area riding the bike.

The elite force personnel said the bike was stolen from a house in Manikganj distrcit. Later, the arrestees were handed over to Singair thana police.

The arrestees were identified as Siraj, 28, son of Abdul Kader of Matattur village under Nababganj upazila, Roni alias Joni, 23, son of Nuira of Nagarkanda village, Yasin, 24, son of Sheikh Latif of Char Mohammadpur village under Dohar upazila of Dhaka district.

Following their confessional statement, police arrested Bachchu, 42, son of Noida Chora of Kartikpur village under Dohar upazila from Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj district on Thursday.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Singair police station Shafiqul Islam said, the lifters raided the house of Mohammad Habibur Rahman at Gazinda village in Singair upazila on Tuesday night and took away the motorbike.

Later, the bike owner filed a case with the police.
