10 injured in AL-BNP clash

A clash between the activists of Awami League (AL) and BNP has left about 10 people wounded at Adhara village in Sadar upazila on Wednesday.

The wounded were admitted to different clinics and hospitals.

Sadar thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahidul Islam said the clash broke out at noon after a AL worker, Amjad Hossain, was beaten up by BNP activists.

Supporters of upazila BNP vice president Raham Ali Molla and that of AL leader Abul Sarker attacked each other.

Local residents were terrified at the explosion of cocktails during the clash.

Police rushed to the spot and quelled the situation.

Police also detained a scooter driver, Raham Ali, in this connection.
