The alleged land grabbers – Jasim Uddin, Abdul Salam, Monir Hossain, Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Shahid and Amanullah – have been summoned to appear before the court on January 26.
The court issued the directive acting on a report of Bangla daily Prothom Alo published Thursday.
According to the report, the alleged land grabbers encroached a portion of the canal and constructed structures there.
The bench of Justice AHM Shamsuddin Choudhury Manik and Justice Jahangir Hossain Selim directed the officers-in-charge of Louhajang and Mirkadim police stations of the district to produce the six before the court on January 26.
