A man who was attacked by the former husband of his wife and his men in Narayanganj on Thursday died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) early Friday.

The victim was identified as Kamruzzaman Raton, 33, a Dubai expatriate and son of Abdur Rauf of Tetuitola village in Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj district.

Sub-inspector Abu Hanif of Gazaria Police Station said Kamruzzaman got married with his cousin Khadiza Akhter about 11 months ago after her separation with first husband Mizanur Rahman.

Kamruzzaman returned home from Dubai only a week ago and was staying at a rented house at Chasara in Narayanganj along with his wife.

Mizanur along with his men attacked Kamruzzaman at his house on Thursday, leaving him seriously injured.

He was rushed to the DMCH where he succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Friday.

A pall of gloom descended on Tetuitola village when the body of Kamruzzaman was taken to his house this afternoon.
