2 bodies recovered from Munshiganj

Police recovered two dead bodies from separate areas of Munshiganj’s Sirajdikhan upazila on Thursday. Both were youngmen and one had bullet wounds.

Sirajdikhan Police Station Officer in-Charge Mahbubur Rahman said the bullet-riddled body was yet to be unidentified. It was recovered from beneath the Rashunia Bailiy Bridge around 9:30am, Rahman said.

According to him, the bullets had hit the head while a cloth-made noose was hanging round the body’s neck. “He was wearing a black gabardine-pant and an ash colour t-shirt.”

The OC suspected that the body was abandoned after murder at night.

Rahman said police filed a case of murder, but there were no arrests so far.

Meanwhile the body of one Al Amin, 35, was found hanging from a tree at his residence in Shialdi village.

OC Mahbubur Rahman says they suspect suicide. The body has been sent to Munshiganj Sadr Hospital for autopsy and a case of unnatural death has been filed, he said.
