People of all walks of life of the areas are considering that the places have become unsafe because of bodies have been dumping here frequently in different areas of Munshiganj Law enforcers are suspecting that Munshiganj has become a dumping site for dead bodies where lawbreakers discarded ten bodies in last six months.
Police said bodies were recovered from Dhaleswari river, ditches adjacent to the highway and roads.
People of all walks of life of the areas are considering that the places have become unsafe because of bodies have been dumping here frequently in different areas of Munshiganj, the district which is adjacent to the capital, which is very frightening, too.
Md Sahidul Islam, officer-in-charge, said they have increased their regular patrolling on Dhaleswari river to prevent the incidents. Among the ten, two unidentified bodies were found on last Sunday, while another unknown female body was found in the district just a week ago.
The two deceased found on Sunday were— an unidentified youth, who was aged around twenty, was found dead at a canal of Moucha Mandra under Lohajang upazila, a young girl who was aged about 22 was found dead on the roadside of Dhaka-Dohar highway at Pusari para under Sreenagar upazila.
Sheikh Mahbubur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sreenagar police station, said the girl’s neck was wrapped with a red veil and there was injury marks on her legs.
She was wearing a kamij and a yellow printed salwar, while she had golden earring and chain around her neck, added police.
Police recovered another body of an unidentified young lady, who was in her twenties, from Dorikandi village of Gojaria under Munshiganj on June 24.
Apart from the three incidents, seven among the ten unidentified bodies were found in Sreenagar, Sirajdikhan and Munshiganj sadar upazila.
A young girl’s body was found on January 21 from Telipara of Sirajdikhan upazila.
Police believed that she was choked to death in somewhere else, then the miscreants dumped the body at Telipara.
Two bullet-hit man were recovered from Roshunia Bridge area of Sirajdikhan upazila on January 24, while just four hours later another bullet-hit dead body of a man, who was aged around 30, was found on the same day from the roadside of Baroikhali-Sidorpur under Sreenagar upazila of the district.
Police said, the three bodies eyes were tied with gamcha (one type of towel).
As the three were killed in same way, police were suspecting that same killers might had involved in the killing.
Another dead body of a young man was found in Hutlokkhiganj Beribadh area of Dhaleswari River on February 19.
Police said, the body was thrown in the river after being tied with stones.
Police recovered another dead body of a man, who was in his thirties, from the same place on February 20.
Police said the two persons were killed in same way. They were thrown in the river after being killed.
Muktarpur Navy Fari Police recovered a dead body of a man on March 17 from west Muktarpur area of Sitalakhya River.
People of the areas are saying that police need to be more careful to prevent this type of incidents.
