A Jubo Dal activists, who received bullet injuries in an attack by the Jubo League workers, died at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Saturday afternoon.

The dead was identified as Nurul Islam Poddar, 18, son of Mohon Poddar of Sarkarpara under Panhasar union in Sadar upazila.

General secretary of Panchasar UP unit BNP Ayat Ali said some Jubo League activists, led by Jamal, Mukul and Bhandari, shot Nurul in Doyal Bazar area of the union at about 10pm on Friday following previous enmity.

Nurul was rushed to the DMCH in a critical condition where he succumbed at about 1pm Saturday.

A case has been filed with Sadar thana.
