Gazaria UNO office besieged

The protesters were demanding for gas connection for more than two years
Hundreds of people of Hoglakandi village have besieged Gazaria Upazila Nirbahi Officer’s (UNO) office for an hour demanding gas connection in their village.

The inhabitants of the village laid siege to UNO office around 1pm on Sunday, chanting slogans for immediate initiatives for gas connection.

On information, Gazaria Upazila Chairman Refaet Ullah rushed to the UNO office and told agitating villagers to collect forms for new gas connection also assured to take adequate measures for gas connection.

The villagers were demanding for gas connection for more than two years.

After getting the assurance, they withdrew the besiege programme.
