Former whip of the Jatiya Sangsad Segufta Yasmin Emeli has said quality primary education is playing an important role in producing human resources for overall economic development of the country.
She made the remark on Friday while inaugurating a newly established primary school in Munshiganj.
“Our boys and girls should know that the 21st century is an era of knowledge that’s why you must earn quality education at primary level to become a resource person for country’s economic development,” Prof Ameli said.
She also expressed the hope that the newly established school would contribute a lot to spreading primary education in the area.
Habib Zubair Government Primary School was established at a cost of Taka 52.76 lakh at Dargarpar village under Tongibari Upazila.
Alhaj Sheikh Lutfar Rahman, general secretary of district unit of Awami League, and Engineer Kazi Wahid, upazila parishad chairman, among others, addressed the inaugural function.
