Police recovered body of a housewife on Wednesday morning after she died mysteriously at Sirajdikhan Upazila of the district.

The deceased was identified as Tulshi Rani Das, 22, wife of Sushil Das of Monipara area under Shekharnagar Union in the upazila.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Sirajdikhan Police Station Khairul said, “Sushil, husband of the deceased, is a rickshaw-puller. They have a four-year old girl child. On Wednesday at 2am, Tulshi Rani died mysteriously, and her family members tried to cremate the body.”

On information, police recovered the body and sent to Munshiganj Sadar Hospital Morgue for an autopsy on Wednesday noon.

She might have strangled to death, the ASI added. After getting the autopsy report, the cause behind the death would be clear, the ASI further added.
