Trader’s body found in Lohajang with hands, legs tied up

Police have recovered the body of a trader, stashed inside a sack with hands and legs tied up, from Munshiganj’s Lohajang Upazila.

The Lohajang police OC said the body was recovered from the victim’s shop at Ghordour Bazaar of the upazila on Tuesday.

The victim has been identified as Sanjoy Sarker, 25.

The OC said the locals broke open the door of the grocery shop as the victim was not responding to their calls.

His body was found inside a sack.

“He could have been hit by a sharp weapon and a weighing stone,” the OC said.

The body has been sent to Munshiganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
