At least four members of a family including two women were injured in an attack on them by miscreants at Notungaon village under Sadar upazila here on Saturday afternoon.

Of the injured, two siblings- Monir Hossen, 30, and Arif, 25, were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital while Monir’s wife Happy Begum, 20, and sister Lucky Begum, 25, were admitted to Munshiganj General Hospital.

The two injured- Happy Begum and Lucky Begum said, some children locked in a scuffle over trifling matter some three to four days ago. On Saturday at 4pm, a gang of miscreants led by Limon and Johnny of Ganakpara village blasted cocktail and attacked the shop of Monir Hossen beside Notungaon Mosque and also attacked on him.
Later, they also attacked Arif, Happy and Lucky.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Munshiganj Sadar Police Station Md Yunus Ali said, they are trying to nab the attackers.
