Police, in separate drives, arrested seven warranted accused including a female death-row convict, from different places in Sirajdikha Upazila of the district.

In-charge of Sheikhernagar Police Investigation Centre Hafizul Islam said the death-row convict housewife Lutfa Begum, 32, was arrested from Kamalpur village in the upazila. She was accused of killingher brother’s wife by setting fire on her body. Lutfa Begum has been absconding after the incident.

Other arrestees are: Yousuf Sheikh, son of Abdul Rahman of Moricha village, and warranted convicts of Narcotis Control Act Nurul Kha, 32, Rajib Hossain, 25, Mohammad Aman, 25, Sumon Miah, 18 and Idris Ali, 26, residents of Chitrakot Union.
