Shahin Bepari, victim of March 12 crash of US-Bangla Airlines Flight BS211 who died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Monday, has been laid to rest in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj.
He was buried at Painadi Mijmiji Graveyard following a nanaz-e-janaza Tuesday night.
Shahin, 43, hailing from Munshiganj’s Louhajang upazila, used to live at Painadi Mijmiji village with his family and work as manager at a clothes store in Dhaka’s Sadarghat.
He had been undergoing treatment at the DMCH’s burn and plastic surgery unit with 32% burns on his body since he arrived in Dhaka from Nepal on March 18.
He died at DMCH Monday afternoon.

With Shahin’s death, the number of perished passengers in the March 12 crash rose to 50, 27 of whom were Bangladeshis.
After surviving the plane crash at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport on March 12, Shahin was treated at a Nepal hospital for six days before being returned home.
The US-Bangla Airlines aircraft with 71 people on board had crashed and burst into flames, killing a total of 49 people, including 26 Bangladeshis and 22 Nepal nationals, on the spot.
Of the 10 Bangladeshi survivors – Shahin, Mehedi Hasan, Saiyada Kamrunnahar Shwarna, Almun Nahar Annie, Sheikh Rashed Rubayet and Shahreen Ahmed were brought back to Dhaka and admitted to DMCH.
Four others were sent to Singapore and India for better treatment.
