Bangladesh Army arrested a man with a looted police weapon from Munshiganj Sadar upazila on Saturday evening, which was looted from Munshiganj Sadar Police Station during July Uprising.
The arrested was identified as KM Sohel Rana, 46, a resident of Amghata village in the upazila.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of army officials conducted drives across different areas of Mollakandi union at around 7 pm and arrested Sohel with a shotgun from

Anandapur area of Chardumuria.
Army also recovered one cartridge from the house of Ratan Dewan in
the Ashuran area of Mollakandi union.
Munshiganj Sadar Army Camp confirmed the recovery through a press release and confirmed that the seized shotgun was one of the weapons looted from Munshiganj Sadar Police Station during the July Uprising.
Munshiganj Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) M Saiful Alam said that a case has been filed against the arrested in connection with the incident.
