2 more cases against BNP leaders for threatening PM

Two more cases were filed against the top BNP leaders for threatening the prime minister with dire consequences.

Munshiganj district Awami League organising secretary Mohammad Jamal Ahmed in his case accused standing committee member Rafiqul Islam Mia and vice president Shah Moazzem.

The two were also sued in another case filed in Narail.

According to the case, the accused, BNP standing committee member Rafiqul and its vice president Moazzem, made inflammatory speeches including death threats towards the prime minister, at a protest meeting at Muktangan on July 25.

They reportedly said that Hasina, also the Awami League president, would face the same fate as her father.

At least four BNP leaders including these two have been sued in several cases filed in Manikganj, Jessore and Dhaka.
