Tickets for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 will go on sale from tomorrow (Sunday) instead of Saturday at eighty branches of City Bank and Agrani Bank across the country, reports UNB.
Earlier, BCB made an announcement that tickets will be sold from today (Saturday).
Bangladesh will host eight World Cup matches in Dhaka and Chittagong including two quarterfinals and the opening ceremony scheduled for February 17 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.
ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 tickets will be available at the following branches of City Bank and Agrani Bank:
Dhaka Division:
MoneyGram City Bank Branches in Dhaka city: BB Avenue, Dhanmondi, Banani, Islampur Road, Kawran Bazar, Mirpur, Mouchak, New Market, Uttara and Imamganj.
City Bank Branches in Dhaka Division: Kishoreganj SME Service Centre, Jamalpur SME Service Centre, Manikganj, Mymensingh, Narsinghdi, Rekabi Bazar Branch (Munshiganj), Narayanganj, Tangail, Tongi Branch (Gazipur) and Faridpur Branch.

Chittagong Division:

Meanwhile, FE report adds: Head of retail banking and chief communication officer of City Bank Mashrur Arefin, at a press briefing Friday said that the ticket sale would begin from January 2 at 50 branches in 37 districts of the bank from 10 am to 6 pm everyday.
People who want to buy tickets have been advised to stand outside the branches in queues. The bank will bring in people in groups of 5 to 10 at a time and one person would be able to buy maximum 2 tickets for a match.
Customers will write their individual details and desired gallery type or ticket type etc. The process of selling a ticket would take 3 to 4 minutes and about 480 tickets could be issued in 8 working days.
