A drug peddler was arrested along with huge yaba tablets from a bus in front of Anwar Group of Industries under Gozaria thana here on Tuesday.

The arrestee was identified as Jubayer Hossain, son of Abul Kashem hailed form Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-11 of Narayanganj district, conducted a drive in the bus of Sohag Paribahan and arrested Jubayer along with 1800 pieces of sex stimulating yaba tablets in the morning.

Jubayer was carrying the contraband tablets from Teknaf to sell in Munshiganj and Narayanganj, RAB said.

A case was filed in this connection.
