Four physicians sacked for neglect of duty

The government has recently sacked four physicians for remaining absent at their workplaces for long without permission from the authorities concerned, reports BSS.

The government has taken action against the physicians according to the Government Employees’ (discipline and appeal) Rules-1985, an official handout said Tuesday.

The sacked physicians are-former medical officer of Bhandaria Health Complex under Pirojpur district Dr Khawaza Abdul Based Aminuzzaman Chowdhury, former medical officer of Manikchhari health complex under Khagrachhari district Dr Nupur Kanti Das, former medical officer of Gajaria upazila health complex under Munshiganj district Dr Rinku Biswas and former officer in charge of the department of health Dr Md. Humayun Quader. They all have been sacked on September 22.

Besides, the salary scale of medical officer of MCH-FP in Biyanibazar upazila of Sylhet district Dr Mosharraf Hossain was lowered as allegations against him was proved by the authorities concerned.

On the other hand, medical officer of MCH-FP in Thakurgaon Upazila sadar Dr Mohammad Reza was relieved of the allegations made against him regarding absence at workplace for long was not proved.
