Police arrested four alleged drug peddlers along with 19kg of hemp from a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Baushia in Gazaria upazila on Saturday night.

The arrestees were identified as Ratna Begum, 25, and her husband Mizanur Rahman, 30, Nilufa Begum, 45, and Methu Mia, 30. They hailed from Shubhapur village in Sadar upazila of Comilla district.

Gazaria thana OC Shahidul Islam said they arrested them along the hemp on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at 8pm while they were going to Narayanganj from Comilla by the auto-rickshaw.
