Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members arrested four drug peddlers along with 1600 bottles of phensidyl syrup from a private car in Razabari area under Godagari thana on Monday.

The arrestees were identified as Al Amin, 20, son of Majid Ali of Munshiganj, Montu Mia, 49, son of Moti Mia of Nababganj, Mohammad Habib, 25, son of Abdul Mannan of Comilla and Entajul Haque, 37, son of Ashraful Haque of Chapainawabganj.

An operation team of Rab on secret information intercepted the private car in the area and arrested them while going to capital at 4:30 am.

The elite force recovered 1600 bottles of phensidyl, Tk 2273 in cash and four mobile phone sets after searching the car.

A case was filed.
