Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 800 pieces of yaba tablet at Mawa Kalirkhil in Louhajang upazila on Monday night.

The arrestees were identified as Zahirul Islam Mamun, 35, of Ranigaon village in the upazila and Abdul Kader, 28, of Balashur village in Srinagar upazila.

Arju Mia, officer-in-charge of Louhajong Police Station, said acting on information a team of Rab-11 conducted a drive at Mahmud Potti in the area and arrested the duo along with the yaba tables.

Later, the law enforcers handed them over to Louhajang Police Station on Tuesday.

A case was filed against the duo under the Narcotics Control Act.
