Six people were injured in cocktail blasts at Amghata village in Sadar Thana on Sunday night. The injured are Uzzal Khalashi, 40, Amil Haque, 30, Rupchan, 40, Mohiuddin, 42, Abu Taher, 25, and Ashraf Ali, 30.

Sources said rival group blasted seven to eight cocktails at one Nasir Khalashi’s residence of Amghata village while some people are playing cards there, leaving six people injured.

Following the incident, supporters of two groups locked in chase and counter-chase.

The injured were admitted to Munshikganj Hospital and Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Sadar Thana OC Md. Abul Bashar told banglanews, “On information, police rushed in and brought the situation under control.”
