A college student was killed and five others were injured in a road accident in Sukhbaspur area on Munshiganj-Tongibari road in the district on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Sumoni, 16, daughter of Mafizul Haq and a HSC first year student of Govt Harganga College.

Hatimara police outpost Sub-Inspector Aminul Islam told banglanews the accident took place as the driver of auto-rickshaw lost control over its steering and the bus fell into roadside ditch, leaving Sumoni dead on the spot and injuring five others.
