Miscreants hacked three people at a bakery factory at Dingabhanga in Sadar upazila on Wednesday night following a scuffle over toll demand. Injured Shahabuddin, 40, Bachchu Mia, 50, and Abul Hossain, 45, was admitted to Munshiganj General Hospital.
M Aslam, owner of Bondhu Bread and Bakery, told the Daily Observer that a gang of miscreants, led by one Rakib, demanded Tk 50,000 in toll to him on Wednesday morning.
“The gang forcibly took some money to me and came again at about 8pm to take the remaining amount. At the time we, with the help of local people, confined the gang members and informed their relatives.”
But, the relatives took miscreants telling them holding arbitration on Thursday morning, he said.
But, they later, equipped with arms and lethal weapons came to the scene and hacked the three, leaving them critically injured.
