Rokeya Khan, wife of late Ataher Ali Khan of Fulkuchi village in Munshiganj’s Sreenagar upazila, passed away in the capital’s United Hospital yesterday morning at age 87.

Mother of Mohsin Ali Khan, former high commissioner of Bangladesh to Canada, and former foreign secretary; Shawkat Ali Khan; and Masud Khan, a freedom fighter and former student leader, she left behind six sons and six daughters. She was buried at Banani graveyard in the city.
