Police recovered the throat-slit body of an auto-rickshaw driver from Rangavilla road at Sirajdikhan upazila of the district on Friday morning after he was killed by miscreants on Thursday at dead of night.
The deceased is Jewel Rana, 31, son of Abdur Rashid of West Kolpara village under Srinagar upazila of Munshiganj and an auto-rickshaw driver.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sirajdikhan Police Station Abul Bashar said the killing might happen due to mugging or previous enmity. The body was sent to Munshiganj General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
