Six Bangladeshis, who were arrested by the Indian Border Security Force, returned home through Benapole check post Tuesday night. BSF members handed the six people over to Border Guard Bangladesh formally at Benapole check post.
The returnees were Nasima Begum, 35, Selina Begum, 34, Rina Begum, 32, Shipon, 36, Mala Rani, 22, and Ankita, 1, and they hailed from different villages of Bangerhat and Munshiganj. BGB Benapole camp commander Subedar Aiyub Ali said BSF members arrested six at Petrapole border after they entered India illegally on Tuesday. The six were handed over to the Benapole Port police, Aiyub said, adding that a case was filed in this connection.
