Bishnu statue found in Kazi Kasba

A touch stone statue of Lord Bishnu, weighing about four maunds, was seized by police from Dakhin Kazi Kasba village under Munshiganj Sadar Upazila on Thursday. The statue was found when a group of workers were cutting earth at an arable land of one Kazi Nur Jamal of Dakhin Kazi Kasba village.

On information, a team of police of Munshiganj Sadar Upazila rushed to the scene and seized the precious statue. The statue, deposited at the treasury of Munshiganj district administration, would be sent to the National Museum in Dhaka through Department of Archaeology, according to a news agency.
