Police arrested nine teachers along with SSC question papers and answer copies from a house near an exam centre in Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj on Friday.

The arrested, Mohammad Golam Maula, Chitto Ranjan Barman, Mohammad Saizuddin, Mohammad Nasir, Shital Chandra, Didar Hossain, Moktar Hossain, Ramzan Ali and Mostafizur Rahman, are teachers of different schools in the upazila.

On secret information, police conducted a drive in the house of Amzad Hossain near the SSC exam centre at Rajdia Abhay Pilot High School around 11:00am and arrested them along with the copies of the question paper and answer sheet.

Sirajdikhan police officer-in-charge Ferdous Hasan said the arrested were involved in supplying answer copies to the examinees in the centre.
