At least five persons were injured in a clash between workers of two contractors over sand lifting at the Meghna River under Sadar Upazila of the district on Saturday morning.
One injured Sabu Kalam, 28, who was hit with bullet in his eyes, was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Workers of Rifat Enterprise of Narayanganj and Bijoy Enterprise of Munshiganj were locked in a clash at the Meghna River on Saturday at 10am, leaving five injured including Sabu Kalam of Bijoy Enterprise who was hit with bullet in his eyes.
In this connection, Second Officer of Munshiganj Sadar Police Station AHM Salauddin said police went to the spot hearing the news of clash, but no such instance was found there.
