The 23-member new body of Munshiganj Press Club was formed on Thursday night. Russell Mahmud (channel i) was elected president and Bhabatosh Chowdhury Nupur (ATN News) was elected general secretary.

The other members of the committee are: Basir Uddin Jewel, Ittefaq, and Advocate Sujon Haidar Johnny, Desh TV (vice-president), Faridul Hasan Farid, RTV (joint secretary), Setu Islam, Independent TV (treasurer), Moinuddin Sumon, New Age (organising secretary), Masudur Rahman, Daily Sun (office secretary), Jasim Uddin Dewan, 71tv (literature and culture secretary), Tanzil Chaklader, Bangla Tribune (information technology secretary), Saiful Islam Titu, ETV (publicity secretary), and Shihabul Hasan, channel9 (sports secretary).

The executive members are: Mir Nasir Uddin Ujjal (Janakantha/ Massranga), Atikur Rahman Tipu (Karatoa), Mozammel Hossen Sajal (Daily Observer), Advocate Md Abu Syeed Sohan (Naya Diganta), Mahbub Alam Liton (Sangbad), Kazi Dipu (Samakal), Masud Khan (Kaler Kantha), Advocate Lavlu Molla (Bangladesh Pratidin), Saidur Rahman Tutul (Jugantor), Masud Rana (Alokito Bangladesh), and Abdus Salam (Mukto Khabar).
