A schoolboy was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Mawa highway in Medinimondal area of Munshiganj district on Saturday afternoon.

Deceased Ananta, 12, was the sixth grader at Medinimondal Anwara High School.

A bus of ‘Banaphul Paribahan’ ran over Ananta around 2:15 when he was crossing road, leaving him dead on the spot.

After the incident, agitated students blocked the highway.
