Police along with local administration donate Tk12,000 to cover temple premises with protective fence
Unidentified miscreants have vandalised idols of Hindu goddesses and gods at a temple in Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj.
The incident took place in the wee hours of Monday at the Madhupur Panchayet Durga Mandap of Modhupur village of the upazila, according to Abdul Rashid Miah, UP member of the upazila.
The criminals vandalised a statue of Durga and one statue of Saraswati and Kartik at the Durga Temple sometime after 5am Monday, reports our Munshiganj correspondent, quoting the temple sources.

Police could not identify the perpetrators yet but an investigation was on-going, said Md Rijaul Haque, officer-in-charge of Sirajdikhan police station.
“The temple is in an open space and so along with the local administration we donated Tk12,000 to the temple committee to cover its premises with a protective fence,” said the OC.
