Jamuna Bank Foundation aids 3,000 families

They had previously distributed relief and cash of Tk2.1 crore through the district commissioners of 21 districts

Jamuna Bank Foundation took the initiative to provide food items to 3000 families severely affected by the Padma river erosion and Covid-19 at Tongibari, Louhajong Thana, Munshiganj district, Munshiganj Sadar, and Naria Upazila of Shariatpur.

Nur Mohammed, former MP of Munshiganj and chairman of Jamuna Bank Foundation, inaugurated the program. The program was presided by Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed, managing director and CEO of Jamuna Bank, said a press release.

Kanutosh Majumder and Md. Ismail Hossain Siraji, directors of the bank, were present as special guests. Md. Abdus Salam, Mohammed Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury, Noor Mohammed, deputy managing directors, and heads of the adjoining branches and senior officials of the head office were also present at the program.

Jamuna Bank Foundation had previously distributed relief and cash of Tk2.1 crore through the district commissioners of 21 districts in the country.
