Student assaults teacher in Srinagar

sorryA teacher was assaulted and injured by an unruly school student of his institution for creating obstruction on capturing photos at Sir Jagodish Chandra Bosu’s house in Rarikhal area under Srinagar upazila of the district on Thursday.

The injured is Ashraful Alam, sports teacher of Kamargaon Kazi Fojlul Haq High School.

Ashraful Alam said on Thursday teachers and class ten students of the school, on a picnic, came to the prominent scientist Sir Jagodish Chandra Bosu’s house at Rarikhal of the upazila. Rifat Sheikh, son of Abdul Kader of the area and a class ten student of the school tried to capture photograph of three schoolgirls.

But they denied and complained to their sports teacher Asraful Alam of the matter. As Ashraful forbade Rifat on taking snaps, he assaulted and injured him. At that time, other teachers and students came forward and rescued Ashraful and sent him to Srinagar upazila health complex. His left eye got damaged, said the duty doctor.

Headmaster of the school Selim Hossain confirmed the incident saying that the school managing committee was informed of the matter.
