BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia sat with Munshiganj district BNP leaders and workers on Tuesday night as part of the party’s month-long programme to drum up public support for its movement for restoration of the caretaker government system.
The closed-door meeting started at about 9:30pm at the party chairperson’s Gulshan office in the capital, with Khaleda Zia in the chair. BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was also present.
Munsiganj district BNP president Abdul Hai, general secretary Ali Ajgar Ripon, senior vice-president Shahjahan Khan, senior joint secretary Atoar Hossain Babul, Munsiganj Municipality Mayor Iradat Manu and other leaders attended the meeting.
Khaleda will exchange views with physicians today.
