A housewife was reportedly committed suicide in Munshiganj’s Sirajdikhan upazila on Thursday afternoon.

The dead was Madhu Mala, wife of Motaleb Khalasya, a resident of Tenguriapara village under Ichhapur union of the upazila.

It was known that the woman hung herself at her home around 2 pm.

Family members rescued her and took to Sirajdikhan Upazila Health Complex where she was declared dead by the doctor.

Sirajdikhan Police Station officer-in-charge Mujahidul Islam confirmed it.
